Sacred Heart Dine With the Champions - Thursday 16th October

Local Community

The annual Dine with the Champions dinner will take place next Thursday 16th October at Encore, St Kilda Beach. The dinner supports Sacred Heart Mission and aims to raise $75,000 for its Kick Start: Wellbeing and Activities Program.  We at Chisholm & Gamon are proud to once again be a principal supporter of this event.

Kick Start offers individualised support to people to help them participate in sport and recreation alongside addressing their physical and mental health and their drug and alcohol use. Kick Start supports people to be independent and build positive experiences of the community, from learning about healthy diets to playing tennis, football and cricket, swimming and joining a gym.

Dine with the Champions is a big fundraising event which brings together a fabulous mix of sporting greats, great food and good company. It is one of the most popular events on Sacred Heart Mission's annual calendar. Tickets are priced at $175. For tickets, please call Peter Mercer on 8534 4118 or [email protected]

Participants will enjoy a delicious dinner at Encore St Kilda Sea Baths, whilst getting the inside stories from some of our most notable sports people. The event will be hosted by sports journalist and radio presenter Tiffany Cherry, who will invite our sporting greats to talk about what makes them tick and what motivates them, along with their triumphs and their tribulations.

Confirmed sporting celebrities for 2014 include elite professional cyclist Simon Gerrans, horse trainer Peter Moody, triathlete Emma Carney, jockey Damien Oliver and AFL players past and present including Brad Sewell, Daniel Jackson and Ian Prendergast, plus a high-profile mystery guest!

Silent and rowdy auctions enable canny guests to get their hands on some fabulous sporting memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime sporting and leisure experiences. The auction website is now live. To view the items on offer, and to pre-register to bid, go to www.galabid.com/dwc
