The Sacred Heart Mission has just announced another exciting line up for its annual Heart of St Kilda concert at the Palais Theatre on Tuesday the 22nd of September. Now in its eighth year, this night of live music and comedy showcases the best of Australian talent while also raising money to help those in need. Team C&G will once again be onsite at this year’s Heart of St Kilda Concert selling raffle tickets and indulging in a bit of a boogie – and we encourage you to join us.

One of C&G’s favorite charities, the Sacred Heart Mission serves over 160,000 meals each year from its dining hall on Grey St in St Kilda. This year’s concert hopes to raise enough funds to provide more than 25,000 hot and nutritious meals for those experiencing homelessness, social exclusion or disadvantage in the year to come.

The Heart of St Kilda concert attracts some of best names in Australian live music and comedy, and this year is no exception. Hosted by irrepressible RocKwiz co-presenter Brian Nankervis, this is sure to be a one night to remember. Truly a night of stars, one of Australia’s most popular country music stars - Kasey Chambers - will be performing at this year’s concert. Her signature tune Not Pretty Enough went to #1 on the ARIA music charts and she is still belting out sensational live performances 14 years later.

Bayside indie rock fans will be pleased to hear that British India are making an appearance this year. Since their debut EP and first album Guillotine won an ARIA Award for Best New Independent Artist in 2007, they have continued to enjoy touring success nationally. They’ll be playing tracks from their new album Nothing Touches Me.

International comedy sensation Arj Barker will also be bringing the laughs to the Heart of St Kilda Concert, dishing out his signature insightful humour which is bound to have you in stitches. The giggles will keep on coming with an appearance by Denise Scott – a local favorite who has been performing for more than 30 years before becoming a household name more recently. Appearing on TV, radio and selling out theatres, this national treasure is not to be missed.

These are just some of the highlights of the Heart of St Kilda concert for 2015 – to see a full ‘setlist’ and buy tickets to this annual must-attend event, please visit the official website.
