Dining With The Champions – The Sacred Heart Mission Dinner

At C&G, we proudly support the Sacred Heart Mission and their fundraising projects. On 29th October, the annual Dine With The Champions event will be held as part of the charity’s Kick Start Wellbeing and Activities Program. Join the C&G team for a night of fine food, sports stars and fundraising for a great cause. 

Dine With The Champions is one of the most exciting events for the Sacred Heart Mission, with this year’s celebrations to be held at Encore St Kilda Sea Baths. The charity works to provide individual support to homeless people in the Melbourne area, helping them get back on their feet to achieve real and sustainable changes driven by their aspirations in life. The Kick Start program aims to build on the strengths of these people and help them gain the confidence to pursue sport and wellbeing activities. These activities are supported by tailored care to the individual, including mental health treatment and substance abuse counselling – making a huge difference to hundreds of lives.

The fundraising evening to support Kick Start begins with a delicious dinner at Encore St Kilda Sea Baths, during which visiting sportsmen and women pay a visit and share their stories. Sports journalist Tiffany Cherry will be hosting the event, leading auctions and a raffle, allowing guests to score some sports memorabilia and leisure experience. 

Sacred Heart Mission is yet to announce this year’s sporting greats line up, but if last year is anything to go by, some big names are set to feature. AFL’s Brad Fisher, Brad Sewell and Daniel Jackson attended in 2014, as well as cyclist, Simon Gerrans, and racer car star, Rick Kelly. Stay tuned for updates.
