Winter school holidays are upon us, Bayside! There are so many ways to entertain the whole family over the coming weeks - and in today’s C&G blog we present our pick of activities from across to the city to entertain children of all ages. You’ll be fresh out of ‘free days’ before you know it!

Bayside Winter School Holiday Program

Do laser tag, rock climbing and a magic festival sound good your family? These are just some of the activities that the Bayside Youth Services team are running as part of their 2017 school holiday program! Operating from Tuesday to Friday in both weeks of the school holidays, the Bayside Winter School Holiday Program is designed for young people aged 10 to 17. All activities are supervised by qualified Youth Services staff, and are based out of the Peterson Youth Centre in Highett. With so much on offer, we suggest you get the kids booked in today!

The Arts Centre Melbourne Winter Program

Creative kids? The Arts Centre Melbourne’s calendar is jam-packed with incredible events to tempt your little artists. In July, CoisCéim Dance Theatre from Ireland will perform The Wolf and Peter, a rendition of Prokofiev’s timeless Peter and the Wolf as told by the misunderstood Wolf. Grab your tickets for the 1st and 2nd of July here. Australia’s favourite children’s comedians The Listies also be bringing their best-selling book ‘Ickypedia: A Dictionary of Disgusting New Words’ to the stage. This side-splitting new show is at the Fairfax Studio from the 11th – 15th. Book this one here.

St Kilda’s Winter Garden Ice Rink.

Kids - lace up your skates, rug up and head to St Kilda’s newest attraction, an ice skating rink!  Running in conjunction with St Kilda’s Winter Garden – MAP 57 event, the ice rink will increase its hours over the July school holidays.

Another St Kilda event not to be missed is the Funatorium Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! This cabaret for kids is filled with circus, singing, dancing and roller skates. Based on the much-loved story of Alice in Wonderland, you can’t go wrong with is on your holiday list.
