Calling all beer lovers – Good Beer Week is here! Running from 16th – 24th May, this nine day ‘week’ celebrates the goodness of beer with 250 events throughout Victoria. The best brewers from Australia and all over the world will be showcasing their talents and hundreds of beers will be available to try. With so many events to choose from, C&G have handpicked a few Southside goodies to get you started!


Beer Samples at Lucky Coq, Windsor

Lucky Coq in Windsor are well and truly ready for Good Beer Week with fifteen beers and ciders on tap. To help celebrate a week of beer Lucky Coq are offering five beer samples when you buy two 6 inch pizzas from their menu on Saturday 23rd May from 3 til 9pm – and it doesn’t exactly get much better than beer and pizza. Pints of Origin at The Palace Hotel, South Melbourne

This free event is running the length of Good Beer Week’s nine day celebration! The Palace Hotel in South Melbourne will be showcasing the best craft beers from South Australia – across eleven taps and one hand-pump! The bar menu has been carefully arranged to compliment the beer and even includes some South Australian inspired items. To find out more, click here.

Thirsty Thursday at Meat Market, South Wharf

For those after a foodie experience to die for, then Thirsty Thursday is for you. Meat Market is serving up a four course ‘pub grub’ of rare breed pork, smoked meats, hand cut chips and more – and Quite Deeds beers from Port Melbourne to go with the meal! ‘Uncle Gets the Goat’ at Uncle, St Kilda

On Tuesday 19th May Uncle in St Kilda will come alive for Good Beer Week! Thanks to the combined ingenuity of Dai Duong from Uncle and Dave Bonighton from Mountain Goat Beer, customers can experience a one-off collaboration beer to celebrate Good Beer Week in style.
