C&G’s Guide to Living in Beaumaris

Tips & Advice

Snuggled in-between Black Rock and Mentone, Beaumaris is one of the most sought-after Bayside suburbs to live. With gorgeous bayside and city views, a close-knit community welcoming to new residents and premium properties on every corner, C&G unpack the very best of Beaumaris in our latest blog: C&G’s Guide to Living in Beaumaris.

1.   The Locals

Beaumaris locals are predominantly made up of established and older couples, families, elderly singles and older independents. The markedly low numbers of young professionals and young families makes Beaumaris one of the more sophisticated suburbs, ideal for the settled home hunter. With stunning beaches, open spaces and strong sense of local community, Beaumaris is for anyone looking for a quiet, safe place where neighbours become friends, and your new local coffee shop will know your name after one visit.

2.   Eating and Drinking in Beaumaris

Beaumaris has an impressive portfolio of restaurants and bars worth moving for. For seafood lovers, Lobster Cave is an iconic Melbourne-must, while good honest home-cooked Australian cuisine is on offer at Six Keys Restaurant. Socialise with friends over fresh Italian fare at La Cucina, or grab Sunday morning coffee and brunch at Uncle Bart Espresso Bar and Kitchen, or Rickett’s Point Café for beachside views in a relaxed environment.

Shopping

A small central shopping strip, this quiet area on Concourse Square is a relaxing, community-driven way to shop and support Beaumaris shops. Get a hair trim, cut or colour at leading stylists Head Rush or Camine & Co, followed by a quick shop at the very trendy women’s fashion store, Wisteria Boutique, ending with a delicious coffee at Ginger Fox Café – all within metres of each other.

4.   The Great Outdoors

Enjoy Beaumaris’ incredible walking tracks along the coastline, and explore marine life at Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary. For pet owners, parts of the local beaches are dog friendly, and there’s plenty of parks and reserves around for walking, running and picnic-ing. For quieter but just as beautiful spots, try Long Hollow Heathland and Beaumaris Reserve!
