Ready, Set, WEEK TWO of the School Holidays is Go!

Local Community

That’s right, you’ve made it through week one - and you’re doing great! The weather for the coming days is looking glorious, so C&G have rounded up some week two activities to keep you and your kids moving through the school break.

Hurrah, week two is here! We hope you’ve been enjoying the school holidays, keeping busy around Melbourne and getting stuck into some of the activities featured in our week one blog. Here’s the next instalment in our school holiday mischief-saving series.

Local couple Celia and Chris make up super fun musical comedy duo, The Kazoos. On Thursday 24th September at Brighton Baptist Church, the Kazoos will perform their What’s Up Croc show. It’s the perfect, laugh-a-minute interactive musical performance for under-eights.

The Astor Theatre is putting on a nostalgic Disney double feature on Sunday 27th September, playing Beauty and the Beast followed by Lady and the Tramp. A trip down memory lane for both kids and adults, this is sure to keep you busy if the rain does decide to show its face.

For the girls of the family, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is hosting Girls Day Out from 25th-27th September. A great day packed with beauty, fashion and food – an ideal chance for some much needed girl-time while the boys kick the footy.

Docklands is hosting a circus themed skate-a-rama, featuring live magicians and clowns. Packed with face painting, games and of course, skating, kids of all ages and abilities are welcome. Free skating lessons with the Ice Ambassadors will make sure you’re a pro before the day is done.

With the weather so perfect, it’s a great time to visit Melbourne Zoo. You’ll be some of the first to experience the all new World of Frogs exhibit, where you can meet endangered species and learn from the amphibian keepers. Kids can take part in the Find the Corroboree Frog Hunt, and the frog-themed play space is fun for all. Under 12s can also take part in the Kids Go Wild program – a day filled with outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and access to secret areas of the zoo.

With any luck, these ideas will keep your kids’ school holiday schedule action- packed, and happy kids means happy Mums and Dads, right?
