Celebrating the Grand Final Bayside

Local Community

The nation will rise up in support of our elite athletes once again for the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final – what is set to be an epic clash between the Western Bulldogs and the Sydney Swans. Taking place this Saturday, October 1 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the live televised match will start at 2.30pm and the only question is – where will you be watching?

The Grosvenor Hotel, St Kilda

The Grosvenor Hotel is throwing a huge Grand Final Day Party! Think happy hour from midday until kick-off, $15 burgers all day and the usual awesome array of popular and local brews. The game will be live on seven big screens across four different rooms throughout the day, and there will even be free pots of Coopers Pale Ale from the first bounce to the first score. More details here.

The Mt Martha Yacht Club

The MMYC are doing it old school! Head down to their beachside club rooms to enjoy the Grand Final match live. The bar will be open, and with hot pies and sausage rolls available on site – what more could you want? More here.

The Palace Hotel, South Melbourne

Just a short tram ride from our Port Melbourne office, The Palace Hotel is a local favourite when it comes to the footy. Last year, it was even named The Weekly Review’s Best Sport’s Pub! Entry is of course, free.

The Tudor Inn, Cheltenham

For those in the vicinity on C&G’s Black Rock Office, The Tudor Inn will be showing the Grand Final as well as hosting a special Grand Final Public Holiday Eve party this Thursday, September 29! Local band Tackleberry will be playing a live set and there will naturally be a number of specials. More here.

Hotel Brighton

With a big-screen projector on the deck and more screens inside the venue, Grand Final Day at Hotel Brighton also means BBQ! You can even purchase a HB Party Pack for the day for you and your mates – which gets you priority seating, cocktail jugs, a bar tab and a shared platter. Learn more here.

On a final note, we’re also looking forward to performances from UK idol Sting (Sting & The Police), who will join chorus with Aussie singer-songwriter Vance Joy and Aussie rockers, The Living End! What are you most looking forward to about the game? Tweet us @ChisholmGamon RE!
