It’s that time of year again – the
St Kilda Film festival is back for 2015! Running from 21st – 30th May, the festival shows the best of Australian short cinema from exciting emerging artists and veteran filmmakers. So don’t miss out on your chance to attend one of Melbourne’s premier events that rewards the hard work and visionary of Australian creatives. History & Highlights

The St Kilda Film festival is Australia’s longest running short film festival. Presented and produced by the City of Port Phillip, the ten day event showcases the top 100 short films made in Australia each year. Most excitingly, award-winning films from the festival are now eligible for consideration at the Oscars!

Highlights of the event include Soundkilda, which showcases eighteen music videos from local and international artists, and The Big Picture, the free filmmaker development program that covers everything a budding filmmaker needs to know – from scriptwriting to post production.

A Clean Break

Written and directed by Jay Adshead and staring a stream of home-grown talent, this comedy looks at a seemingly ‘tale as old as time’ dilemma: a man forced to choose between his girlfriend and his best friend – except in this instance, his best friend is a robot vacuum cleaner. Florence has Left the Building
