FOR THE GIRLS

Celia Pacquola, The Looking Glass

March 30 – April 4, the Comedy Theatre

Celia Pacquola grew up in Melbourne and climbed to fame in 2014 with her hugely successful live show, and a starring role in Rob Sitch’s Utopia (ABC). Her style is distinctly Australian – self-deprecating and highly observant of life’s hilarious nuances - and her 2016 live show presents an unmissable opportunity to see one of the best comedians in the nation. More here.

FOR THE BOYS

Aunty Donna, New Show

March 24 – April 15, Roxanne & Max Watt’s

The Melbourne-based comedic trio are an internet sensation whose hilarious live comedy has gone viral over the past four years. Together, Zachary Ruane, Mark Samuel Bonanno and Broden Kelly are nothing short of comedy genius, with an energetic style that has been compared to Flight of the Concords and the Mighty Boosh. If you’ve never heard of them, be sure to check out their YouTube channel here. There are shows almost every night during the Comedy Festival tour, with very reasonably priced tickets available here.

FOR DATE NIGHT

Wil Anderson, Fire at Wil

March 23 – April 17, the Comedy Theatre

From his early days hosting the Triple J Breakfast show to becoming host of the Glass House and the Gruen Transfer, Wil Anderson is virtually a household name. He’s also an experienced stand-up comedian with a cheeky, consistent style that has seen him win the People’s Choice award again and again. Fire at Wil is set to sell out, so get in quick and grab your tickets here.
