C&G’s Guide to the Reclink Community Cup

Local Community

For a Good Cause

Reclink raise funds to provide sports and art programs for some of our community’s most disadvantaged members. In partnership with more than 200 community organisations, Reclink Australia create socially inclusive and life-changing opportunities. The Reclink Community Cup is their biggest annual event, with funds raised supporting at-risk youth and people with mental illness and substance addiction to experience improved health and wellbeing. This year’s event will be held across seven cities and will assist Reclink to make a bigger impact on communities than ever before.

The Theme

The theme for this year’s Reclink Cup is Everyday People by Sly & the Family Stone. How fitting for a lively day of footy, family, music and community that brings people together!

The Music

This year’s incredible line-up of musicians features a diverse array of talent hailing from across the nation! From indie-pop to punk-rock and everything in-between, there’s even a harmonious quartet to enjoy. Kutcha Edwards will be performing this year’s theme song – Everyday People -  supported by The Aints, Cable Ties and Rudely Interrupted. Be sure not to miss these musical performances pre and post-match.

The Match

Reigning champs the Rockdogs will try to hold onto their title when they go up against the mighty Megahertz at match time. Don’t fret if footy isn’t your thing – stick around for the post-match musical entertainment. It’s bound to be a cracking winter family day out for a great cause.

Tickets for the Reclink Community Cup can be purchased at the gate or via this link here. 2017’s Cup was a sell-out event, so we recommend purchasing your tickets beforehand.
