C&G On Mother’s Day in Melbourne

Local Community

As we gear up to totally choc-out and relax over the Easter weekend, it certainly doesn’t hurt to keep in mind the next big day in our gift-giving calendars: Mother’s Day. Melbourne is bursting with wonderful ways to celebrate Mother’s Day this May 11th and C&G has picked out a few favourites to share. If you’re keen to spoil your mum, celebrate ones we’ve loved and lost, or simply give back to the community – we’ve got you sorted.

Escape the city and treat your mum to a spectacular day at SkyHigh in the Dandenong Ranges, with stunning views across all of Melbourne. SkyHigh Restaurant will offer special Mother’s Day breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, as well as a set price lunch. Bookings are essential and can be made here. For something a little closer, take a trip down the Yarra on Melbourne’s The Lady Cutler for a Mother’s Day Champagne and Seafood Brunch, or Mother’s Day Champagne and Sunset Cruise. A wonderfully unique way to spoil your mum!

Support homeless women on Melbourne’s streets with Moral Fairground’s Fair-Trade Mother’s Day High Tea. A host of inspiring women will take to the stage from 11.am-1.30pm at Melbourne Town Hall, and attendees can also enjoy a delicious high tea, hand pampering sessions and fair-trade goodie bags. All proceeds will go toward Youth Projects, a Melbourne-based charity that will use the funds to build a specialist clinic to provide services and resources for homeless women to make a positive change in their lives. Registrations are open for Women in Super’s Mother’s Day Classic, an annual community fundraising run that donates all proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. An amazing total of $19.8 million has been raised for breast cancer research and awareness through the Mother’s Day Classic since 1998. The Classic is open to everyone, and registrants can choose to either run or walk the 4km or 8km distance. Gather a group and register here – events are taking place in Melbourne, Geelong and many regional towns.
